Theatre Deli Sheffield

Theatre Deli fills empty spaces with art and artists, creativity and community.

A driving force within the arts since 2008, Theatre Deli take empty spaces in city centres and create hubs that support emerging artists, companies and communities whose identities, backgrounds, disciplines or work are underrepresented in theatre.

Operating in Sheffield and London, Theatre Deli works to develop diverse audiences and artistic communities by providing safe suitably resourced environments for everyone to experiment, develop, showcase and enjoy art.

They support and invest in artists through residenciesdrop-ins, festivalsco-productionsin-kind support and so much more.

Additional Information

In March 2023, Theatre Deli Sheffield opened their new venue as part of a partnership with CADS on Arley Street (behind London Road). This ten-year lease and renovation was made possible by a £150,000 investment from the Northern Cultural Regeneration Fund, received via Key Fund.

After setting up a series of venues in London, Theatre Deli came up to Sheffield in the Summer of 2014 to stage an outdoor production in a park, and decided this would be the perfect city for their second home.

The company's previous homes in the city have included the old Woolworths building on the Moor from 2014 - 2015 and the former Mothercare on Eyre Street from 2017- 2022.

In 2021, the arts charity welcomed over 10,000 visitors across Theatre Deli venues in Sheffield and London.
