Founded in 1885, Hallamshire has a long and rich tennis and squash history and are one of the most well established tennis clubs in Sheffield.
There is a warm welcome for anyone looking to play tennis, squash or racketball or to join a friendly gym. An extensive refurbishment has taken place over the last couple of years to bring major improvements to the eight outdoor tennis courts, the nine squash courts, the comfortable bar lounge and the well equipped gymnasium.
A wide variety of coaching programmes in tennis, squash and racketball are accessible to anyone wishing to play regardless of age or ability. Also on offer are junior tennis coaching and kids' tennis lessons for younger players wanting to get involved.
The well equipped gym is very bright and spacious and offers personal training as well as providing a variety of programmes.
During the day and evening the bar lounge provides a relaxing atmosphere in which to enjoy high-quality hot and cold beverages, snacks and appetising meals (subject to the time of day). The large TVs frequently show popular sporting events.
Located next to Endcliffe Park on Ecclesall Road, South West Sheffield, the club is very accessible via public transport, on foot, by bicycle or by car.
