Strange Britain is the home of the Strange Sheffield Ghost Tours, a unique and immersive experience that takes visitors on a journey through the spookier side of Sheffield.
Strange Britain is the name used by author and paranormal enthusiast Adrian Finney, as he aims to shed light on the city's ghostly legends, folklore, and the stories that shaped our great city.
Adrian offers regular Friday night tours around Sheffield that run all year round. They offer a great mix of humour, history, tall tales, and ghost stories. He is an experienced guide, with a passion for storytelling, who loves nothing more than entertaining an audience.
As well as the regular Ghost Tours, he runs special events throughout the year, under his Strange Britain name. These include True Crime nights, that look at some of the darker side of the city's history, and themed specials.
Adrian likes to innovate with unique and exciting events, including a Ghost Train, with Penistone Line Partnership and Northern (the only event of its type in the whole country) and he’s also hosted of a spooky cruise along the Sheffield & Tinsley Canal.

In 2021 Adrian hosted a ghost tour for a local charity and, due to demand, he made the fateful decision to bring the ghost tour idea back in 2022, setting himself up as a sole trader, using the Strange Britain name.
2023 was the year things really took off, with his first indoor true crime night, and the first Ghost Train.
As well as regular public tours, Adrian also offers private group bookings.
He is proud to have worked with various community groups and local businesses, as well as both universities, doing what he loves best.
Adrian holds full public liability insurance as a storyteller, entertainer, and a street performer.
