Original ‘secret art’ arrives at Cupola Gallery again…this time with a twist.. ‘Cash4cards’ is the latest iteration of the original ‘secret postcard’ show at Cupola gallery.
Due to popular demand and the generosity of artists, Cupola Gallery is holding another one of its exciting secret postcard exhibitions where all artists, professional, amateur, young or old, get to take part. It is a charity fundraiser where all the original artworks are on sale at a bargain price of just £15 each.
Although this year, there is another option. Artists can offer original artworks at either postcards size, A6, or a miniature business card size. The miniatures will be on offer for £10 each or four for £20. ‘Original artworks at affordable prices. Who doesn’t love that?’
What is a secret postcard show you might ask? For those who don’t know, the idea is simply that the artworks are displayed anonymously. Contact details of the artist are only revealed after purchase. This way you buy only what you like but you may be lucky enough to snaffle a bargain from a well known artist!
“In previous years we have had nearly 1000 postcards and raised thousands of pounds for charity. Let’s see what we can do this year!” Karen Sherwood, Director
Sales revenue will be split 50/50 between charities and supporting Cupola’s exhibition programme so that Cupola can continue to take risks and promote lesser known artists lacking the recognition they deserve. So, why not have a nosey on down and check out the cash 4 cards fundraiser. But be quick about it, we don’t want all those original pieces to sell out before you get your hands on the ones you want!
“In previous years postcards have been made in every style and using every medium imaginable. From traditional painting, printmaking and drawing, to collage, photography, textiles, mixed media, wood, metal and even jewellery. Artists are endlessly creative and it is always a joy to see what arrives. Work comes from artists based locally as well as from all over the country and abroad! A proper smorgasbord of miniature delights!” Come and enjoy whilst raising money for good causes. What’s not to like?” Karen Sherwood, Director.
Opening times: Monday-Saturday 10-6pm
