Castlegate Festival 2025

The ninth edition of Sheffield's Castlegate Festival is set to take place on the weekends of 13 - 14 September and 20 - 21 September.

The festival is a celebration of heritage as well as the rich arts, music and market scene in Castlegate, Sheffield’s oldest quarter.

Key events this year include Castlegate Street Party along with a Skate Jam, Quayside Market and Pollen Market.

This year’s festival also looks to Castlegate's future with the redevelopment of one of its key site. The Castle Site (previously occupied by the Castle Market until its demolition) as a unique new park for Castlegate. 

It will include tours of Sheffield Castle’s archaeological remains, the river Sheaf daylighted and an exciting event space as well as opportunities for play.
