Sheffield Heritage Open Days 2025

England's biggest festival of heritage and culture takes place between 12 - 21 September with over 100 FREE tours, walks, exhibitions and events taking place in Sheffield.

Sheffield's Heritage Open Days are part of the nationwide festival that takes place over 10 days each September, as volunteers across England organise events to celebrate our fantastic history and culture.

Here in Sheffield there are over 125 free events happening across the city, offering people a rare opportunity to visit historic buildings not normally open to the public and discover our diverse natural and cultural heritage, with special events and behind-the-scenes tours.

All venues and events are free to enter.
