SUBB: Vocal Showcase

Join Sheffield University Big Band for a spectacular evening of jazz and swing music, fronted by our outstanding vocalists at Alder Bar in the heart of Neepsend! Expect back-to-back classics from the likes of Bobby Darin and Ella Fitzgerald to Michael Bublé and Amy Winehouse. SUBB are a multi-award winning semi-professional big band, organised and led by current students of the University. They play regular gigs in Sheffield at Cubana Tapas Bar and Foundry, as well as across the UK. Last year's highlights featured collaborations with bands from the Universities of Leeds and Liverpool, in addition to winning the highest award from the National Concert Band Festival at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.
