Sidney & Matilda

Sidney & Matilda is Sheffield's most dynamic, versatile venue with three different rooms of varying sizes.

It's been over a year now since the venue's newest and biggest space - the 300-cap Gallery Room - has been in use. Some great events have been hosted in this room already, including club nights featuring Horse Meat Disco, Alexis Taylor (Hot Chip), Greg Wilson, Erol Alkan, Sally C, and nights by some of Sheffield’s top club promoters including Steel Dancin’, Bass Off, and Funky Drummer.

The 80-cap Factory Room is Sidney & Matilda's smallest room, providing the perfect space for up-and-coming artists, both local and touring, to cut their teeth at ticketed shows.

Downstairs is the 180-cap Basement Room, giving the venue the ability to accommodate those artists that can sell 80+ tickets, but may not be ready to fill the Gallery Room just yet. With dark lightning and a low ceiling, the Basement is also the perfect space for a club night until the early hours.

The Warehouse - which is the bar room - is an open and spacious area where you can grab yourself a drink, have a sit down, or have a good old dance whilst one of our resident DJs keeps the music going throughout the evening. We also often have special guest DJs in the bar room too, most recently featuring the legendary Steve Davis!

With such a range of event spaces, Sidney and Matilda is now open almost every single day of the week, often with multiple events occurring simultaneously across the venue. This venue is an important part of the Sheffield scene, playing host to a high volume of events with both developing and established DJs and artists.
