The Festival of the Outdoors is back! Throughout March, celebrate The Outdoor City and our lush green spaces. From large-scale international sporting events to small community gatherings; from guided walks to some of the worlds hardest bouldering problems; outdoor markets to film festivals, there's something for everyone.
We're joining up with DC Outdoors to bring a whole host of outdoor activities on each weekend of the Festival of the Outdoors 2025 in March.
Tuesday 25 March: Explore all areas of the Sheffield Botanical Gardens via its winding paths. En route, the tour will pause to learn about the garden's history and botanical features.
A dusk orienteering event suitable for all at Loxley Common on Wednesday 26 March. This event is part of the Outdoor City's Festival of the Outdoors. Newcomers are very welcome.

Join DC Outdoors for a SUP experience (stand-up paddle boarding) at Sheffield’s historic Victoria Quays.
Sunday 30 March: A heritage walk tracing the origins of the main streets in Sheffield city centre.
Join DC Outdoors for an outdoor climbing experience at Burbage North, in Peak District National Park.
Sunday 30 March- 1pm: Kelham Island and Neepsend are major hubs of Sheffield’s thriving official Street Art scene. This walk features roughly 70 exhibits.
