Sheffield’s best brunch spots
Brunch is a vital (and sometimes most enjoyable) part of any weekend adventure in the city, so it’s a good job that there’s a wealth of great places to grab brunch in Sheffield.
From a classic full English fry up to stacks of pancakes and avocado on toast, or maybe even just a really good cup coffee, these places won’t disappoint on the brunch front.

Kollective Kitchen - Site Gallery
Kollective Kitchen is connected to Sheffield's Site Gallery, serving dishes that are locally sourced, but globally inspired, with a focus on colour, excitement and sustainability.
South Street Kitchen
South Street Kitchen is housed in Europe's largest Grade II Listed building - the iconic Park Hill Flats. Set inside this brutalist masterpiece you'll find friendly staff, a great vibe, and some quality food and drinks (with lots of gluten free and vegan options).
Honey & Fig
Honey & Fig, serving up good vibes, your favourite coffees, sandwiches, corndogs and pastries.
Marmadukes
They have three locations - the original one is just by the Crucible on Norfolk Row, the second below the HSBC building in the Heart of the City development, and the most recent one on Ecclesall Road South in the old sorting office. All three have a charm and identity of their own whilst still totally feeling like one of Sheffield's favourite independent cafe's.
Gaard Coffee Hide
A place to retreat to, drink great coffee and sample the finest vegan pastries, Gaard Coffee hide is a small and cosy coffee shop tucked away on Burton Road.
The Grind Café
Situated in the heart of Sheffield’s bustling Kelham Island, The Grind Café is an award-winning, independently owned, boutique café and bar, serving expertly brewed coffee, carefully crafted cocktails, tasty treats baked on-site daily, and a delicious menu bursting with flavour.

For over 10 years this delightful café has been serving all day brunch to the lovely people of Sheffield on Sharrowvale Road. Whilst the brunch menu features favourites like the breakfast burrito, the lunch specials are created according to seasonal ingredients, so there is always something new to try.
Pom Kitchen
Pom is an Aussie inspired vegan and veggie eatery on Sharrow Vale Road, just around the corner from the beautiful Endcliffe Park. It's a riot of colour and celebration of fresh natural flavours - basically impossible not to feel happy whilst eating their food.
Albie's
Albies is an independent coffee company built from their neighbourhood shop. They pride themselves on a friendly welcome and quality brews.
How St
Straight up the hill from the train station, opposite Hallam University central campus, sits How St. They make everything fresh from local produce, and have a lovely outdoor terrace where you can spend plenty of time supping on a coffee while you watch folks wander past.
The Depot Bakery
The Depot bakery is an artisan bakery, retail and brunch eatery space in a gorgeous, renovated industrial space. They carefully pair speciality coffee with a range of bespoke baked goods and an inspired brunch menu.
Forge Bakehouse
Forge Bakehouse have been baking for the good folk of Sheffield since 2012. Their bakers, chefs and baristas make everything from scratch – meaning they know exactly what’s in it.
Aesthete
Owned by a mother and daughter partnership, Aesthete is a space where one can enjoy freshly prepared meals, homemade cakes, speciality coffee and loose leaf tea in a beautifully relaxing atmosphere.
Birdhouse Tea Bar & Kitchen
Built in a converted former cutlery-machine factory, Birdhouse have drawn on their expert tea knowledge to create a modern dining and drinking experience, with tea at the heart of it all.
Hidden Gem
The Hidden Gem is the perfect quiet retreat set back from Ringinglow Road. You can call in for coffee and cake or something more substantial like a full English breakfast, or nibble on some tasty light bites and delicious specials.
The Rhubarb Shed
You'll find the Rhubarb Shed on the Manor Green site where the remains of Manor Castle still (built in 1516) - a part of the city with a long history, which currently operates as a very successful social enterprise. Housed in a converted barn, this charming and incredibly friendly cafe delivers a range of delicious food from ciabattas and salads to gourmet burgers and a whole host of specials. There's vegan and gluten free options and a selection of tempting cakes to try.
