Are you Crackers For Christmas? Then Sheffield City Centre is the place to be for a weekend of festive fun 16 - 17 November.
Come celebrate the opening weekend of Sheffield's Christmas Market with an array of festive family entertainment across the city centre, including big bands, choirs, dance, panto, street entertainment, children's costume characters, crafts and storytelling, 11am - 5pm- see more details below.
The market stretches from the stunning Christmas Tree at Town Hall Square to The Moor, with three Alpine Bars and over 50 log cabins offering a wide range of festive treats and gift ideas.
Twinkling Christmas illuminations will once again be lighting up Cambridge Street, Barkers Pool, Pinstone Street and the Peace Gardens from 4pm daily, until 5 January.
The traditional Carousel will be back in Barker's Pool along with The Big Wheel on The Moor, plus a new illuminated Helter Skelter alongside the new home of Santa's Grotto in Barker's Pool.

Barker's Pool
The traditional Carousel returns to Barker's Pool, with a new illuminated Helter Skelter stationed alongside plus the new home for Santa's Grotto. For the festive opening weekend, the Grotto will be hosting Christmas crafts and storytelling, plus there'll be appearances from the main man himself, and a range of costume characters throughout the day.
Cambridge Street and Pinstone Street:
Look out for the Christmas Elves and their Goodometer to find out if you’ve been naughty or nice, while Joy Riding Reindeer and Musical Ruth will entertain with their classic Christmas tunes and the cheeky Bubble Beat Elves are sure to delight with their festive dance moves and bubbles.
Pinstone Street:
Look out for Sheffield theatre company, the Manor Operatic Society, performing outtakes of their 2024 pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk. They'll also be offering an exclusive 50% discount on evening tickets bought from their pop up box office on Pinstone Street. Sheffield’s homegrown Stagecoach Choir will also be singing around the Christmas Tree in front of the town hall.
Millennium Square:
Live music performances will come from Woodhouse Prize Band and Funky Dance Fever on Saturday. While on Sunday, the Ashby Big Band will perform their swing Christmas medley, while Razzamataz Dance join Funky Dance Fever to really get the party started!
The Moor cabins opening times:
Sunday - Thursday 10am - 6pm
Friday & Saturday 10am - 7pm
Pinstone Street cabins opening times:
Sunday - Thursday 10am -7pm
Friday & Saturday 10am - 8pm
Alpine Bars open 11am until late, every day.
