The Fringe at Tramlines: Leopold Square (2025)

The Fringe at Tramlines is back in Leopold Square, for a full weekend of free live music 25 -27 July, from chilled afternoon vibes to upbeat evening sets, they have something for everyone.

The weekend kicks off at 5pm on Friday 25th July with the electrifying Power Trio, followed by high-energy Sheffield favourites Cirque Du Funk keeping the party going in style at 8pm.

Saturday's line-up on 26th July brings a mix of genres and local talent. Eight-piece jazz-funk band The Lemur Conspiracy return at 1pm, followed by the soulful Katie Bosworth at 3pm and the powerful vocals of Billie Jane at 5pm. .

As the evening draws in, Matrix Club Matrix gives their own take on club classics and 1990s dance anthems from 7pm, with DJ Ryan Taylor closing the night with a high-octane set from 8.30pm.

The final day of the festival, Sunday 27th July, sees The Retrobates starring Kitty Noir open the show at 1pm with rhythm and blues that's straight from the 1950s, followed by crowd favourites Papa Soul at 3pm, funk-fusion band Rogue at 5pm, and Sheffield legends Acoustic Angels at 7pm.

Rounding off the weekend in style is DJ Algie, who returns for a closing set of soul, R&B and Motown at 8.30pm.

Friday

5pm - The Power Trio
A dynamic neo-soul/jazz ensemble led by the multi-talented Ryan Taylor. 

8pm - Cirque Du Funk
DJ Paul Metcalfe was the main man behind the iconic Bed nightclub in Sheffield during the late 1990s, bringing in top dance acts from all over the world to perform for the city's vibrant music scene. 

Saturday

1pm - The Lemur Conspiracy
Comprised of an explosive three-piece horn section and a compelling five-piece rhythm section, The Lemur Conspiracy deliver enough energy to bring the house down every night. 

3pm - Katie Bosworth
Katie Bosworth is a singer/songwriter and, along with her amazing band will be performing a wide variety of music ranging from RnB, soul and pop.

5pm - Billie Jane
As one of Sheffield's rising stars, Billie has incredible vocal range and power, and is accompanied by one of the tightest bands in the hemisphere.

7pm - Matrix Club Matrix
Club classics and 90's dance anthems band, Matrix Club Matrix have become one of the most sort after bands for live venues, parties, festivals and special occasions. 

8.30pm - DJ Ryan Taylor
Band leader extraordinaire takes a step back from the keys and brings the party to the decks. Global flavours for the dancefloor, from reggaeton to nu-disco to afro house.

Sunday


1pm - The Retrobates starring Kitty Noir
A rocking outfit delivering steaming hot rhythm and blues straight out of the pot. If you want music to dance to and heart that is straight outa the 1950's, then this is what you've been waiting for. 

3pm - Papa Soul
Sheffield's very own funk/soul sisters and brothers are the ultimate crowd pleasers, with their unique take on classic songs from timeless labels such as Stax, Chess, Motown and Atlantic.

5pm - Rogue
Featuring the incomparable Hannah Lily on vocals, John Wynn on bass, Tom Bryson on Drums and Chris Firminger on guitar, Rogue perform a varied repertoire of hits from the ages.

7pm - Acoustic Angels
Sheffield's favourite acoustic band, playing hits from the northern soul/Motown era right up to present day, led by John Reilly.

8.30pm - DJ Algie
Possibly the first DJ to hold a residency at Leopold Square some 14 years ago, DJ Algie returns for an evening of soul, R&B and Motown.
