In addition to the 'Fly Tower' which already offers a mixture of live performances and screenings on it's five meter screen The Abbeydale Picture House have now opened the Bar at the the other end of this historic site.
The Abbeydale Picture House Bar offers a full range of fifteen beers produced by the neighbouring Abbeydale Brewery alongside quality spirits, wines and coffee.
Tables can be booked in advance to ensure your group is seated.
A wrap around sound system allows for DJs to provide an eclectic soundtrack and the Bar and upper floor spaces are available for private hires, celebrations and events.
During the warmer times of year the outside spaces will be repurposed as a large beer garden and provision of quality food options will be increased.
Abbeydale Picture House first opened in December 1920 as a 1,500 seater cinema and retains many of its original Art Deco features. In the intervening years it has been repurposed many times. The main auditorium is temporarily out of use due to essential works needing to be undertaken to repair the roof. The reopening of the main bar is the second stage in ensuring this iconic and much loved building is as available to the public as possible and offers a relaxed environment with a rare and individual charm.
Due to the age of the building, access to people with extra mobility needs is not possible. The toilets are only accessible by a wide staircase to the first floor. These toilets are non-gender defined and are cubicle only.
