Held on the first weekend of September each year, Art in the Gardens is arguably the largest outdoor art market in the North of England, with artists, craft makers and visitors coming from across the UK.
Situated close to the city centre, the event is spread across the sweeping grounds of Sheffield Botanical Gardens, which are listed by English Heritage as a Grade II site of special historic interest and provide a stunning backdrop.
Alongside a huge variety of art & craft exhibitors in the pavilions and marquees, there’s also sculptures on the lawns, an open art competition, exhibitions, live demonstrations, a dedicated home and gardens showcase, plus locally-sourced food and drink stalls.
With thousands of pieces of art & crafts on show and for sale, the event is a wonderful opportunity to buy direct from the artists themselves, while also enjoying the beautiful surroundings of the gardens.
Art in the Gardens is organised by Sheffield City Council’s Major Events Team. For enquiries and opportunities, please see the contact information below.
