Presenting a special weekend of music, art, technology and dancing in October each year, No Bounds is Sheffield’s "wildly innovative festival" that perfectly welds past and present.
Though majoring in electronic music primarily, the multi-disciplinary festival crosses into many genres to present an array of unique musical experiences in contrasting venues, capturing the essence of Sheffield’s contemporary scene while also acknowledging the city’s industrial past.
More than just music performances, No Bounds also incorporates visual art, poetry, film, talks and debates, alongside a growing educational strand which includes DJ workshops, live coding and music journalism.
The festival returned, in 2022, to Hope Works as its core venues but hosted an array of special events at 10 venues across Sheffield and furthered its reputation for staging events in quirky locations including Sheffield Cathedral and Moore Street Substation. Previous editions of the festival have also seen events at swimming pools, cemeteries, cinemas and galleries.
Please note that the full No Bounds festival will now be taking a break for 2023, with a return to the full extensive festival planned for 2024. In the meantime, festival organisers will be hosting a Big Weekend at Hope Works 14 - 15 October (during the original festival weekend).
and Cathedrals are built to showcase sounds and voices at their very best. Our Cathedral is ‘a place for all people’, so I look forward to welcoming everyone."
