Festival of the Outdoors 2025
Every March, as the days are getting longer, drier, and warmer in Sheffield, we celebrate what it means to be The Outdoor City, by hosting the Festival of the Outdoors.
You'll find everything from large-scale international sporting events to small community gatherings; from guided walks to some of the worlds hardest bouldering problems; outdoor markets to film festivals.

Easter Holiday Adventures at Longshaw Estate
Let your imagination take flight and explore the brilliant world of birds at Longshaw on their family Easter trail, taking place Saturday 29 March - Sunday 27 April.
Arch Run Club
A social 5km run around Dam Flask. All abilities welcome. There will be an opportunity to grab a post-run coffee at The Schoolrooms Cafe.
World Snooker Green Carpet Ceremony
Snooker fans in Sheffield will have the chance to see their heroes walking to the Crucible, through Tudor Square on a special green carpet on the eve of the Halo World Championship on Friday 18 April.
Easter Weekend - Forest School
Join Wentworth Woodhouse's crafty Gardener, Emily, over the Easter weekend and learn forest skills and crafting out in the great outdoors, 18 -21 April.
Graves Park Animal Farm Easter Egg Hunt
The Farm are set to host their annual Easter Egg Hunt 18 - 21 April where there will be thousands of eggs hidden by the Easter Bunny to find over 4 days and a prize for every child!
Easter Monday Duck Race 2025
The Easter Monday Duck Race in Endcliffe Park is an outdoor event for people of all ages – come and watch the ducks as they are launched into the Porter Brook, and encourage them on their way as they swim downstream, Monday 21 April.
Survival of the Sickest
The Survival of the Sickest event series allows junior skateboarders to compete in age category events and aims to encourage skaters onto the ‘Pipeline Project’ talent pathway for youngsters who are striving to compete at national and international events.
Sheffield-Buxton-Sheffield cycling event
Fourth annual unsigned cycle sportive, with three distances to choose from. Sheffield-Buxton-Sheffield is a non-competitive ride with a friendly atmosphere run by local cycling organisers which has proved highly popular for it's routes and relaxed atmosphere.

A local makers market taking place in Sheffield City Centre at Orchard Square on Saturday 3 May.
