Festival of the Outdoors 2025
Every March, as the days are getting longer, drier, and warmer in Sheffield, we celebrate what it means to be The Outdoor City, by hosting the Festival of the Outdoors.
You'll find everything from large-scale international sporting events to small community gatherings; from guided walks to some of the worlds hardest bouldering problems; outdoor markets to film festivals.

Born and raised Nashvillian, Cody Pennington is back, and he’s bringing his rootin’ tootin’ country classics along with him!
Belly
Seminal 90s alt-rockers Belly hit the road for their first tour in almost a decade, celebrating 30 years of their album ‘King’ with an overdue Sheffield headliner.
Float Along Festival 2025
Back for their third year, Float Along festival makes a welcome return to Sheffield on Saturday 28 September, with another encompassing mix of post-punk and psychedelic rock, as well as the best in indie and alternative music.

The Blackheart Orchestra
The Blackheart Orchestra is returning to The Lantern, bringing their ethereal, folky/electronic/progressive music back to Sheffield. Their performances in 2023 and 2024's sell-out shows were phenomenal. They filled the auditorium with such wonderful sounds as Rick and Chrissy crisscrossed each other to create their music. It was a mesmerising show, an aural delight.
