Every March, as the days are getting longer, drier, and warmer in Sheffield, we celebrate what it means to be The Outdoor City, by hosting the Festival of the Outdoors.
You'll find everything from large-scale international sporting events to small community gatherings; from guided walks to some of the worlds hardest bouldering problems; outdoor markets to film festivals.

This family-friendly event celebrates the majestic Highland Cattle, with dozens of Highland Cows from across the North East and beyond all attending, offering something for everyone to enjoy.
Graves Park Country Show is a FREE entry family event with lots of animals on show, stalls, kids activities and fairground rides, it'll be another great family day out on Monday 5 May.
Prepare to be amazed as Sheffield's Weston Park May Fayre returns for a day full of FREE family fun on Sunday 18 May, with fun fair, circus acts, comedy, live music, food stalls and more.
One of the city's largest free to attend events for all the family, the festival is a bustling exhibition of Sheffield’s flourishing food & drink scene, with 90% of the traders taking part, based locally. This year's food festival takes place 24 - 26 May.
The Sausage and Cider Festival will be returning to Sheffield for a huge outdoor festival hosted in Don Valley Bowl on Saturday 7 June, bringing together great food, refreshing drinks, and live entertainment.
