The Festival of the Outdoors is back! Throughout March, celebrate The Outdoor City and our lush green spaces. From large-scale international sporting events to small community gatherings; from guided walks to some of the worlds hardest bouldering problems; outdoor markets to film festivals, there's something for everyone.
This major new exhibition takes visitors on a nostalgia-filled journey through the childhood of one of Sheffield best-loved artists, Pete McKee.
We're joining up with DC Outdoors to bring a whole host of outdoor activities on each weekend of the Festival of the Outdoors 2025 in March.
Tuesday 25 March: Explore all areas of the Sheffield Botanical Gardens via its winding paths. En route, the tour will pause to learn about the garden's history and botanical features.
Tuesday 25 March: An easy-going two-mile city centre discovery trail exploring how engineering has developed the city of Sheffield.
