We're joining up with DC Outdoors to bring a whole host of outdoor activities on each weekend of the Festival of the Outdoors 2025 in March.
Sunday 2 March: A heritage walk tracing the origins of the main streets in Sheffield city centre.
Join DC Outdoors for a weaselling experience at picturesque Higger Tor in Hope Valley.
Practical hands-on conservation work. Tasks vary from footpath improvements and access work, to habitat and vegetation management on Monday 3 March.
Thursday 6 March: A short, circular guided walk led by local historian, Les Seaman.
Fancy getting active outside while giving something back to beautiful green spaces across The Outdoor City? Come and help Sheffield and Rotherham Wildlife Trust with some practical hands-on conservation work. Tasks vary from footpath improvements and access work, to habitat and vegetation management.
Come along to the Sheffield & Rotherham Wildlife Trust garden and carry out some gardening jobs and learn about wildlife friendly gardening on Friday 7 March.
Join DC Outdoors for an outdoor climbing experience at Burbage North, in Peak District National Park.
Sunday 9 March- 1pm: Kelham Island and Neepsend are major hubs of Sheffield’s thriving official Street Art scene. This walk features roughly 70 exhibits.
