Student life in Sheffield is great. You can go out partying and still be able to drink, travel and eat within budget.

The typical cost of a night out could look like:

Travel:

For £1.20, you can get the bus into town near lots of bars and clubs. A taxi home might cost £5-10, but this is often split between your friends, or you can get the Safety Minibus from the Students’ Union (SU) for £1.50.

Drinks:

Many places do deals on drinks, so you could get a spirit and mixer for £2 or a pint for roughly £3.50. Soft drinks and mocktails are really affordable too.

Food:

Nights out always end with food, we love to go to Pasam’s and might spend around £5-7.
