Luisa Omielan UKTour: ‘Bitter’

18 Apr 2024 19:00

Luisa Omielan is a comedic force of nature. The first stand-up to receive a BAFTA Breakthrough accolade, with four consecutive smash hit shows, she is credited with creating 'genre-defining' one- woman shows. Most recently, a self-produced special called God is a Woman.

With over a dozen sell out runs at Soho Theatre and star of Live at the Apollo. Twice nominated at Melbourne International Comedy Festival for best show - where her Thigh Gap routine has been viewed over 50 million times.

She's been described as masterminding "one of the biggest stand-up hits of the decade" with her debut What Would Beyonce Do?Her show Politics For Bitches spawned a BBC3 series.

In 2024, Luisa will return with a brand-new touring show: Bitter. Luisa's fans know she is incredible, hilarious, life-changing and a superstar, but she's also endured years of being told she's too loud, too crass, and too emotional. Now she's over it; the world doesn't make any sense.

Following the rules hasn't worked for her, so she's going to write some new ones.

Additional Information

Luisa says: "Working hard doesn't cut it. The whole game feels rigged. Whatever you do, don’t complain about it. Just smile, bitch. Write your gratitude journal and manifest. Everyone in power seems to be either a self-serving, egotistical maniac or have the moral backbone of a flaccid dead fish. Is it any wonder more women are choosing to stay single and not have children?! Not me! Not by choice, anyway. My single childless status is purely thanks to my beautiful cock blocking dog, she's very protective!"

Is she bitter? Of course she is. Are you angry? You should be. Is Bitter a comedy show? Absolutely.
