A vibrant street art scene
Like street art? You’ve come to the right place. Walk down almost any street in the city centre and you’ll stumble across a riot of colour interrupting the urban skyline, with many hidden gems waiting to be found round every corner and new pieces emerging all the time.
There are a number of prolific street artists who live in Sheffield, that have transformed bare walls into something beautiful for the city to be proud of. Their variety of styles can be seen here, as well as all over the world - and we have plenty of guest murals painted by artists who have visited the city to create their own mark too.

Peachzz's new water wildlife mural named best in the World for June 2024
The stunning mural, which adorns the side of the Cubo building, overlooking Pound's Park in Sheffield City Centre, was unveiled last month and has been praised by Sheffielders and will now be entered into Street Art Cities' Best Global Street Art of Year, for 2024.

Meet some more of our local artists
Phlegm
Phlegm is arguably Sheffield's most internationally recognised artist. In March and April 2019, he transformed an old cutlery factory on Milton Street, with an incredible large-scale immersive sculpture exhibition, called the Mausoleum of the Giants.
Bringing to life, the character’s from Phelgm’s world in a way he’d never done before, this incredible exhibition attracted over 12,000 visitors, with people travelling from all over and queuing up to 4 hours to experience it. It was a cultural event the likes of which, Sheffield had never seen before.
Phlegm keeps his identity anonymous - but his work now adorns walls all over the world.
Peachzz
A graduate of Sheffield Hallam University, Peachzz has worked on commissions across the world and built a reputation for applying her expressive style, with hints of realism and bold colour palettes, to large scale murals.
She recently complete a new large-scale wildlife mural on the side of the Cubo building, overlooking Pound’s Park in Sheffield City Centre.
Believed to be the city's tallest piece of street art and Peachzz's own biggest piece of work to date, the mural scales the full five storeys of the building, standing 25.5 metres high and covering 225 square metres.
Pete McKee
One of Sheffield's most beloved street artists, Pete has forged an artistic career (self-taught) that has attracted a worldwide following, with a signature style partially influenced by his years as a professional cartoonist. His work explores various themes including working-class culture and humour, with his distinctive characters giving a sense of northern pride.
Florence Blanchard
Florence Blanchard is a French artist, based in Sheffield. She began writing graffiti in the early 1990’s under the name Ema, but is now known internationally for her work transforming city spaces with her signature style of flowing, amorphous shapes. Her bright and vivid work is also often directly inspired by her past experience working as a scientist.
Kid Acne
A stalwart of the international Street Art movement, Kid Acne has painted large-scale murals across continents and exhibited work extensively over the past two decades. His bold, characterful and distinctive style explores a variety of themes, from colloquialisms and typography, to fantasy, mythology and architecture.
Jo Peel
Artist Jo Peel is a painter, print maker, animator and film maker, best known for her distinctive line drawings documenting ever changing city landscapes. Inspired by the process of change, particularly the ways in which a city comes to develop its own personality and culture, her bright Sheffield murals evoke a joyful note in urban city life.
Faunagraphic
Painting for over 15 years, Faunagraphic has been recognised internationally due to her environmentally driven creative style of Flora and Fauna, advocating the importance of the natural world and bringing beautiful, vibrant artistic creations to increasingly urban societies.
Her work has even been featured on BBC Earth, BBC Countryfile and Spring Watch.
Marcus Method
Known for his bold and colourful compositions, Marcus combines his architectural background with his graffiti roots to create unique patterns and intricate designs.
He has worked with a variety of businesses and organisations, from international brands to community-based projects.
Will Rea
His distinctive and almost poetic style won Will a World Illustration Award for his large-scale mural in Orchard Square.
His work combines technical, observational imagery with a colourful nature, reflecting his passion for design and visual communication.
